Commenting on his new appointment, Andrew Goulborn said; "Obviously I'm sorry to be leaving Rise as it's partially mine and I've helped build it from scratch into a company with a bright future. However I think it's true to say that I'll be switching from loving the work I do to doing the work I love! I was close to moving into a sports management job a few years ago and it's always been something I've wanted to do. The opportunity to do so at Ipswich Town - my team - makes this about the closest thing to my dream job. I'm really looking forward to getting stuck in and to working with Derek, David and the rest of the team at Portman road to help build the strongest possible commercial base for ITFC."

Derek Bowden, Town Chief Executive said, "I am delighted to welcome Andrew to the Club. He and I have worked together in the past and he will join us in the newly created role of Sales and Marketing Director. His background in advertising and marketing will help the Club to continue to grow its commercial business. Andrew will be moving back to Ipswich and will take up his new role on 1st September although during August he will be working with Paul Clouting to ensure a smooth hand over. I would again like to take this opportunity to wish Paul Clouting every success in his new venture."
Andrew, who was born in Felixstowe and educated at St.Joseph's College in Ipswich, is married to Louise. 6 month old twin 'Tractor Girls' Amelie and Alberta complete the Goulborn family. 1969 saw Andrew's first visit to Portman road where he watched Town take on Arsenal, from then to now Ipswich Town Football Club has been 'his' club.
