Georges' move in balance
Georges Santos' move to QPR hangs in the balance although Town boss Joe Royle has confirmed to the Club website that Rangers definitely want the Frenchman.
The 33-year-old defender successfully came through a medical at Loftus Road on Monday and was expected to tie up a deal within 48 hours pending contractual negotiations.
But talks are still going on as Joe explained to the Club website.
"I have spoken to QPR manager Ian Holloway and there is no doubt that they want Georges," says the Blues' boss.
Georges - still a Town player
"But there are a few little holds-ups that need to be sorted out, mainly at QPR's end I believe, so we will have to wait and see how things go."
With Jason De Vos, Richard Naylor and Drissa Diallo appearing to be in front of Georges in the pecking order in defence and youngsters Aidan Collins and Gerard Nash coming through, the former Marseille player's first-team opportunities look limited at Portman Road.
Watford, Burnley and QPR have all shown an interest in the ex-Grimsby player who would be allowed to leave Town on a free transfer.
