Joe Royle is likely to give a firm indication of his thinking for the start of season kick-off when Town take on Osasuna at Portman Road on Monday.

The Spanish club, who will include former Aston Villa striker Savo Milosevic and Australian international John Aloisi in their line-up, were the surprise team of the Primera Liga last term, challenging for a UEFA Cup place until late in the campaign.

With Town just a week away from the visit of Gillingham in the first Coca-Cola Championship game, Joe will field somewhere near his first choice X1 against the Spanish.

"Osasuna will give us a good test and being continental, will provide us with a different challenge from Palace and Newcastle," the Blues boss tells the Club website.

"It's our last match before the serious stuff starts and we have certainly taken some positive things out of the two recent friendlies at Portman Road and we will be looking for further improvements on Monday.

"I have got the framework of the team in my mind and the 90 minutes against Osasuna provides me with another opportunity to take a look at a few things."

Monday's game kicks-off at 7.45pm and you can be there FREE.
