Tony Dinning is looking to impress Joe Royle and win a permanent contract at Portman Road after joining the Club on a two month loan.

The 29-year-old Wigan midfielder, who is available on a free transfer, will go straight into the squad for Wednesday's game at Nottingham Forest and is hoping it's the first of many games in Blues' colours.

"I'm delighted to be here, initially on loan and hopefully I can do enough in the two months to persuade the manager to make the move a permanent one," Tony told Ipswich World in an exclusive interview.

"It didn't really work out for me at Wigan last season and now I'm looking forward to a fresh challenge at Ipswich.

         Tony - hoping to impress

"Once I knew of the Club's interest I spoke to Jason De Vos, who I was with at Wigan last season, about coming here and he said it's a great place to play football.

"But I have played at Portman Road many times and I know the standing the Club has in the game so I'm really pleased to be here and looking forward to playing for Ipswich Town."
