Bam Bam deal until 2006

Posted on: Wed 17 Nov 2004

Richard Naylor has cleared up any confusion over his contract by confirming that he signed a two year deal in the summer.

Bam Bam was one of nine players out of contract at Portman Road in the summer but after discussions with Town boss Joe Royle put pen to paper on a new deal in July.

It has been widely reported that the 27-year-old signed a one year deal but Richard told the Club website: "I have read everywhere that I was offered a one year deal but the fact is that I signed a two year contract so hopefully that will clear up any confusion."

The contract will keep Bam Bam, who is Town's longest serving player having come up through the youth ranks, at Portman Road until the summer of 2006.
