Joe Royle admitted Town could have no argument with the result at Derby and said that Blues were simply not good enough on the day.

The Rams took the lead through Marco Reich but Town edged ahead at the break via a Tommy Miller penalty and a Dean Bowditch strike following a poor backpass from Nathan Doyle.

Inigo Idiakez levelled the scores on the hour and Reich grabbed the winner four minutes later leaving Joe disappointed and annoyed.

"It was the poorest we have been for a long time and we got what our performance merited - nothing," he said

"Derby were more competitive than us and they also gifted us both our goals.

"We were lucky to be in front at half-time and there can be no excuses for that display. We just weren't good enough."
