Joe Royle has confirmed to the Club website that Pablo Counago can leave Portman Road on a free transfer.

The former Spanish U21 international, who missed the last two months of the 2003/04 season with a hamstring injury, has not started a first-team game this term.

"I've sat down and talked about things with Pablo and decided to make him available on a free transfer," Joe told the Club website.

Pablo joined Town from Celta Vigo as a free agent in the summer of 2001 and finished top scorer for Blues in 2002/03 with 16 goals.

It's been well documented that he is one of the higher wage earners at the Club and comes to the end of his contract at Portman Road in the summer of 2005.
