Head groundsman Alan Ferguson has added another award to his increasing collection with the Institute of Groundsmanship voting him their Groundsman of the Year.

Alan beat off competition from all English and Scottish League clubs to take the honour with the pitch at Portman Road judged the best in the country.

Hartlepool, Southampton, Mansfield and Dundee United were all runners-up with Alan taking this Institute award for the second time, in addition to the five divisional trophies he and his team have picked up.
