Town have confirmed that musical legend Neil Diamond will be appearing in concert at Portman Road on May 26, 2005.

The American singer will be the second worldwide recognised act to appear at the stadium next summer with rock giants R.E.M. in action in July.

Diamond was the highest earning solo artist during the 1990s and his 461 gigs during the decade were watched by over four million people.
