No Grande deal - yet

Posted on: Wed 17 Nov 2004

Triallist Sandro Grande will be returning home to Canada but Town boss Joe Royle has not ruled out a move to Portman Road for the midfielder.

The 27-year-old former Brescia player has spent the past week training with the squad and will see the next few days with Blues before heading back to his homeland.

Grande, who helped Montreal Impact to his country's A League title recently, is an international team-mate of Jason De Vos and played in Canada's 2006 World Cup qualifiers over the past month.

            Grande - could be back

"Sandro has done well while he has been here but we have not been given permission to play him in reserve team games," Joe told the Club website.

"So he will be going back next week and we will wait until the transfer window comes around in January and see what develops from there.

"I will talk to his agent before then but we wouldn't make a decision without having here back here for another week or two and be in a position to see him in match action."
