Jason in squad but doubtful

Posted on: Wed 17 Nov 2004

Town boss Joe Royle has named a squad of 18 for the Burnley game but Jason De Vos remains a major doubt with a thigh injury.

The Canadian international is likely to have a fitness test tomorrow morning but Joe says: "I will be very surprised if he makes it.

"He didn't train on Thursday and he is unlikely to do so today but has asked to travel in the hope that it will have cleared up on Saturday morning."

Jason sustained bad bruising during the 5-1 win over Sheffield United and was forced off the pitch midway through the first-half.

Antonio Murray has been included in the 18 with Kelvin Davis and Lewis Price battling it out for the 'keeper's shirt following Kelvin's return to fitness following his back injury.
