Drissa out until January

Posted on: Mon 20 Dec 2004

Drissa Diallo has been ruled out of the holiday programme after sustaining a hamstring injury in training at the weekend.

The Guinea international has been to see a specialist today and told to rest for the next two weeks at least.

"Drissa has partially torn a tendon in his hamstring and it means he will certainly miss the Christmas and New Year games," Town physio Dave Williams confirmed to the Club website.

"It's one of those injuries that you can't put a time on for recovery so we will have to play it day by day but he certainly won't be playing again until we get into January."

The injury means Drissa will sit out the Championship games against Wigan, Millwall, Stoke, West Ham and Plymouth as well as probably the FA Cup Third Round tie against Bolton on January 8.
