Surgery for Gerard
Gerard Nash will have a cartilage operation on Friday that will rule him out of action for six weeks.
The 18-year-old defender limped out of training this morning and after seeing a knee specialist this afternoon, will undergo surgery.
"Gerard will be having keyhole surgery on his knee to tidy up the cartilage," Town physio Dave Williams told the Club website.
"It means he will be out for six weeks and won't return to full training until February.
"The problem has been bothering him a little but we were hoping to get around it without the operation but it has to be the way forward for Gerard now.
"The injury is not connected in any way to the knee ligaments problems he he's had in the past though."
Gerard, who has made one League appearance for Town, has twice had surgery to repair damaged cruciate ligaments and is currently recovering from the second operation which took place a year ago.
