Duo on trial at Town

Posted on: Tue 04 Jan 2005

Town are taking French midfielder Jimmy Juan and Paraguayan free agent Martinz Angel on trial later this week.

The two will report to Portman Road on Thursday for their first training session with the first-team squad and will spend six days at the Club.

Angel is looking for a new club while Juan has failed to win a regular place in the Monaco midfield.

The 21-year-old can play right across the middle of the park and has progressed through the youth system at the French club.

He made his debut against Auxerre in the 2002/03 season and was in the squad that progressed to the Champions League Final last year.

Juan also came on as a substitute in Monaco's Champions League defeat at Liverpool in the qualifying group of the 2004/05 competition and has made a handful of other substitute appearances in the French League this term.
