Darryl's England call

Darryl Knights has been named in the England U17 squad to play in a mini tournament in Portugal later in the month.

England take on France, Norway and the host country in a competition held in the Algarve which kicks off on January 25.

The tournament is being used as preparation for the UEFA U17 Championship qualifiers in March which sees England take on the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland and Serbia and Montenegro for a place in the finals in Italy.

Darryl, who made his senior Town debut in the defeat at Sunderland in November, is likely to face Academy team-mates Billy Clarke (Republic) and Chris Casement (NI) in the games against the Irish.
