Joe Royle intends to speak to Danny Karbassiyoon about the possibility of the American extending his loan stay at Portman Road but the Town boss will not be continuing his interest in Miguel Angel Martinez.

Danny, 20, has made it clear that he would like to stay at Portman Road beyond the duration of his month long loan from Arsenal which expires at the end of next week.

Speaking to the Club website, Joe said: "Danny has settled in here and done well.

"He looks a promising player and fitness wise made a big improvement against Bolton on the Plymouth game."

Danny picked up a slight knock in the last minute of that FA Cup defeat by Bolton, his first appearance for Town at Portman Road but will be fit for Saturday's game against Coventry.

Meanwhile Paraguayan triallist Martinez, who has been training with Blues for a few days, will not be staying on at the Club.

"I have told his agent that we will not be taking him on," Joe confirmed.

The 21-year-old former Racing Club player is hoping to find a new club in England.

         Jimmy Juan - staying on

Monaco midfielder Jimmy Juan will be staying with Town for the rest of the week though after arriving on trial at the same time as Martinez.

"Jimmy will stay with us until Friday. He's doing okay here and we have a 'relationship' with Monaco that works both ways for the clubs," adds Joe.

Juan is still contracted to the French club and has played for them in the Champions' League this season, as a substitute in their defeat at Liverpool.
