Town are in discussions with Arsenal over extending Danny Karbassiyoon's loan at the Club for another two months.
The 20-year-old American defender's current deal is up next weekend but he has made it clear that he would like to stay at Portman Road.
"Danny's with us for another week anyway but we are talking to Arsenal about keeping him here longer, hopefully for another two months," Town boss Joe Royle told the Club website.

"He's had a good start and we're very pleased with him. We took him in a little bit blind in a way, although we'd seen him in the reserves for Arsenal and he'd done pretty well.
"His performance against Bolton was a step up fitness wise on his showing against Plymouth and he's looking comfortable within the squad."
