It has been confirmed that James Scowcroft will miss the visit to Wigan after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season in the defeat by Watford.

The 29-year-old striker was booked by referee Andre Marriner after an aerial challenge in last night's Championship clash at Portman Road.

The yellow card followed on from Friday's game at Preston where Scowie picked up a booking for a tackle on Chris Sedgwick.

It was hoped that the referee at Deepdale, Matt Messias, may have rescinded that booking but it's now been confirmed as standing.

With Scowie, who is on loan from Leicester until the summer, also picking up three cautions in his time with the Foxes this season, it leaves him facing a one match suspension which comes into play seven days after the fifth offence, leaving him sidelined for the visit to the JJB Stadium on March 5.
