Shefki in for Wigan

Posted on: Fri 04 Mar 2005

Shefki Kuqi has passed a fitness test at the training ground this morning and will join the squad for the trip to Wigan.

Young Irish striker Billy Clarke was put on standby and handed the No.24 shirt in case Shefki didn't come through training but the teenager will now stay in Suffolk while the 16-man squad travel to Lancashire this afternoon.

Shefki - back in action

Finnish international Shefki has been sidelined for three weeks after suffering a gashed thigh in the win over Leicester and only returned to training on Thursday.

He has been given the all-clear by the specialist to resume action and will now come into contention for a place against the Latics.
