Reserves take on Cambridge

Posted on: Thu 10 Mar 2005

Town will play a reserve team friendly against Cambridge next week with a number of the first-team squad likely to be involved.

A run of postponed games for the reserves has left some players without match action over the past month - a situation that Steve McCall was keen to resolve.

"Gerard Nash, Drissa Diallo and Jimmy Juan all need games after coming back from injury but because of the weather and other factors we have lost out on three or four matches recently," says reserve team boss Steve.

"We are trying to rearrange dates for some reserve league matches at the moment but it's not proving to be easy.

"It was important that we set up something for next week to get the players going again for 90 minutes."

Town will take on Cambridge at the training ground on Wednesday, March 16 with a midday kick-off.
