Queen honour for Town director

Town director, Philip Hope-Cobbold, has been appointed by the Queen to serve as High Sheriff for the County of Suffolk for 2005-06.

Established over a 1000 years ago, it is the oldest secular office under the Crown.

Philip who served with the Royal Hussars for 30 years and who now lives at Glenham Hall, is the nephew of John and Patrick Cobbold who both served as Chairman at Ipswich Town and has been an ardent Blues' fan since his schooldays.
