Both managers praised a wonder save from Kelvin Davis in the second-half after Town's 2-2 Play-Off draw at West Ham.

The Hammers were 2-1 up when Anton Ferdinand headed goalwards only to see the Blues' No.1 acrobatically claw the ball out off the line before Richard Naylor cleared.

"We have been used to Kelvin turning in some great saves since he has been here but maybe that one was a bit special," said Joe Royle.

Kelvin - wonder save

"It was similar to the famous Gordon Banks save against Brazil and certainly came at a crucial time for us."

West Ham boss Alan Pardew agreed, adding: "You have to give the lad credit, it was a wonder save.

"If that had gone in, it would have taken us 3-1 ahead and made all the difference."
