Nottingham-born stopper who joined Town from Championship rivals Watford, penning a three-year contract.
The former England U21 'keeper had clocked up more than 150 appearances for the Hornets, before moving to Portman Road in July.
Scott is a boyhood Blue and spent time in the Town Academy as a youngster, working alongside current Town goalkeeper coach Malcolm Webster, before his family left Suffolk and returned to the Midlands.
Town paid Watford an undisclosed fee for his services and he will now battle it out with Arran Lee-Barrett in his bid to become Blues' number one between the sticks.
