Supporters who purchase a season ticket for 2015/16 before the Early Bird deadline of 5.15pm on April 3 will see their ticket upgraded for the Premier League at NO EXTRA COST should Town win promotion this campaign. The Club are also offering supporters the chance to qualify for a FREE Premier League season ticket for 2016/17 if you buy before the Early Bird deadline and become an Ipswich Town Academy Friend for £10 per month for 2015/16 and 2016/17. The U11 season ticket price remains at just £10. There is a small increase of 3 per cent in season ticket pricing (approx £10 in lower tiers) around a vast majority of the ground, while matchday ticket pricing if Town are in the Championship next season will be frozen for the third year running in virtually all areas of the stadium. Those season ticket holders who are currently on a direct debit payment plan will be automatically renewed for next year. The Club’s 0 per cent interest rate on direct debit over 12 months remains. No season tickets will be sold after the Early Bird deadline until the outcome of Town’s 2014/15 campaign is known. If Blues win promotion, then season tickets will be priced at Premier League rate. Season ticket holders will be sent renewal packs the week commencing March 9 which will include full terms and conditions and any renewals and new sales will be be available online via www.itfcdirect.com later today. “As a football club, you look to progress every year and since I first walked through the door here two and a half years ago, we have achieved that,” writes Town boss Mick McCarthy in the season ticket brochure. “The top two remains our aim. If we don’t make it, then we’ll aim for the Play-Offs. “You have a part to play in that. As you will again next season, whatever division we are in. “Your support has been great again this year and it’s appreciated by all of us. It makes such a difference, to the players, to the staff, to TC and myself. We are in this together, and together we are stronger.” Questions answered Q: So let me get this straight, if I buy a season ticket before the Early Bird deadline and we win promotion this season, it’s not going to cost me a penny extra to watch the Super Blues against Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City and co next year? A: You’ve got it. Q: What happens if we go up but I don’t buy before the Early Bird deadline? A: You miss out big time on the best prices and will have to pay the Premier League rate. Remember, once the Early Bird deadline is reached, season ticket sales stop until the outcome of Town’s 2014/15 campaign is known. Q: Remind me when the Early Bird deadline is? A: 5.15pm on Friday, April 3. The time we kick-off against Bournemouth at Portman Road. It’s another Blues’ game live on Sky as well. Q: You mentioned the FREE season ticket offer. So if I buy before the Early Bird deadline and pay £10 a month to be an Academy Friend for the 2015/16 and 2016/17 seasons then I get a free season ticket to watch Town in the Premier League in 2016/17? A: Yep, if Town are in the Premier League. You HAVE TO TELL the Club you want to take up this option though. There are forms in the mailing pack being sent out next week or you can do it online at www.itfcdirect.com (choose to add this donation at the checkout stage). Of course, the £10 contribution goes towards the Club’s bid for a category 1 status Academy. Q: Will the Academy Friend contribution work on the same direct debit payment scheme? A: It will. The £10 a month will be added to your season ticket direct debit. However, if you wish to pay for your season ticket and Academy friend contribution on a card or by cash, then you can do so in one payment in full. Q: Can I stop paying into the Academy Friend at a later date? A: You can but you will then not qualify for the FREE Premier League season ticket for 2016/17. Q: What about previous promotions that are in place for the 2015/16 season? A: They will be honoured of course. Q: You mentioned the vast majority of Portman Road will see a 3 per cent increase on season tickets next year in the Championship. What areas are not covered by that? A: The premium seating locations (SeatPlus+) – D Block, X Block & Y Block. The Club have reviewed concessionary pricing in hospitality areas to reflect their market value. There are cheaper options available for those concessionary season ticket holders who do not want to pay the adjusted pricing. Q: How do I renew or apply for a season ticket? A: If you are currently on a direct debit payment plan you will be automatically renewed for 2015/16 and don’t forget the Club’s 0 per cent interest rate on direct debit over 12 months remains. Basically, you don’t have to do anything, except renew your membership or add yourself to the cup pre-payment scheme. If you do not want to be automatically renewed for next season, you have to let the Club know by the Early Bird deadline in writing (email or letter). You can purchase online at www.itfcdirect.com, that’s the cheapest way. You can also do so in person at Planet Blue or by post. Q: Where can I find more information? On www.itfcdirect.com. Full details are on there. Season ticket packs with full terms and conditions will be sent out next week and a full pricing table is shown below. You can ring the Ticket Office Helpline for enquiries only on 03330 05 0503. You can’t purchase or renew your season ticket on that number though.
