Alan confident young Blues will relish Portman Road experience
Alan Lee has told the Club website of the great experience the FA Youth Cup provides as his side prepare to take on Dagenham and Redbridge at Portman Road on Tuesday.
The young Blues, who secured an impressive victory at Everton in the third round of the competition, face Daggers tomorrow evening, and Town’s U18 manager is confident his players will make the most of the occasion.
“It’s a great opportunity for the lads to test themselves,” the former Town striker told www.itfc.co.uk.
“For some of the lads it will be the first time they’ve played under the lights at Portman Road so it’s quite a big occasion and we’ll make the most of it.
“The lads got what they deserved at Goodison Park but they need to approach tomorrow’s game in exactly the same way and respect Dagenham and Redbridge.
“We really appreciate any support and I would encourage the fans to come down and see the lads play some good football.”
Tickets for the fourth round tie are priced at £3 adults and £1 concessions/juniors. Kick-off is 7pm with entry via the Co-Op Stand.
