Teddy on target as he takes first steps towards first-team return
Teddy Bishop marked his return to action with a goal as Town’s U23s twice came from behind to draw 2-2 at Millwall this afternoon.
The midfielder, who was making his first appearance since a groin operation in August, scored a superb free-kick in the first-half, with Ben Morris also on target for Gerard Nash’s side.
Emyr Huws continued his step up to full fitness, the Wales international making his third appearance for the U23s since recovering from an achilles injury.
Town fell behind 20 minutes in, Millwall’s Harry Donovan rifling home the opener from inside the penalty area.
Blues responded and were level through Bishop 12 minutes before half-time. The 21-year-old placing a terrific free-kick past Lions’ shot-stopper Tom King.
Millwall restored their advantage in the 79th minute when Kristian Brymora found the top corner, Town ‘keeper Michael Crowe standing no chance.
Blues salvaged a point though in the final moments when Morris squeezed a shot past King.
