Skipper hoping to be fit for weekend clash
Carlos Edwards is facing a race against time to be fit for the weekend’s clash with Huddersfield at Portman Road.
The Town skipper was forced off with a groin injury 15 minutes into the Capital One Cup defeat to Carlisle but is hoping he can be involved on Saturday.
“The injury is settling down faster that I first thought but obviously it is still early days and I don’t want to aggravate it,” Carlos told the Club website.
“I’m sure I will sit down with the manager and the physio over the next couple of days to make a decision on it.
“We have the international break coming up, so obviously I don’t want to further injure myself ahead of the break but I’m hoping I can be fit. We will see what happens over the next day or so but it the end it will be up to the gaffer.”
