Close-knit unity at Town reveals striker

Michael Chopra has hailed the ‘close-knit unity’ within the Town dressing room at present.

The striker netted his first goal of the campaign to ensure Town recorded a first win of the season, against Watford at Vicarage Road in midweek.

Now the striker is urging his teammates to maintain their impressive performances, ahead of two tricky away games to Blackpool (league) and Carlisle (Capital One Cup).

“The lads have put in some great performances over the last two or three games and it’s important we keep that going,” Chops told the Club website.

“We’ve got a good group of lads here that are all fighting for each, which we perhaps didn’t have as much last year.

“But throughout the side there is a great team spirit and we have a lot of lads here from last season still. That has helped us become a close knit unit and the new boys that have come in have found it really easy to settle, which I think is showing out on the pitch.”
