East of England Co-operative Stand open for business

Town's official unveiling of the new East of England Co-operative Stand took place at half time on Saturday, during the opening game of the season at Portman Road.

Roger commented “Ipswich Town is at the very heart of the town and we are delighted to not only support the Club itself, but the wider football community which comes together to support the team in every match.  We have thousands of colleagues and members who live locally, many of whom are fans of the Tractor Boys, and everyone at the Society is looking forward to a successful 2012/13 season for Ipswich Town.”
Simon Clegg escorted Roger Grosvenor, Executive Officer of Retail at the East of England Co-operative Society, together with Anna Tink, one of the Co-op’s loyal customers, onto the pitch to cut the ribbon to mark the official opening amid a burst of pyrotechnics.  20 doves were then released.

The West stand will therefore be known as the East of England Co-operative Stand from now on.
