Plenty going at Portman Road this week

Put the date in your diary now. Ipswich Town Open Day. Friday, August 10 at Portman Road. You won't want to miss it!The itinerary for the day currently is as follows but is subject to change:

 It's all FREE, with gates opening at 10am.

Bluey and Crazee will be joining in the fun, with ice cream and fudge suppliers ready to satisfy those hungry Blue Army members.

 Fire engines, police tractors, top of the range cars, inflatable assault courses, pets corner, bowling alley. You're likely to see them all. There could be an Olympic atmosphere at Portman Road as well with badminton, cycling and hockey all set to be represented.

 Fans will get their chance to experience the thrill of driving a Formula 1 car. There will be a freestyle football show, complete with amazing tricks and skills, while Escape Reality will provide a performing arts demonstration.
 As well as hosting the signing session with the first-team and the Junior Blues coaching demonstration, the Fieldturf will be home to an array of events and sideshows.

 Two Town coaches will be putting on a training session with 20 Junior Blues winners, while from 1.30pm onwards Club staff will be taking fans behind the scenes at Portman Road, with access to the dressing-rooms, media room, boardroom and beyond in Club tours.
 
After the first-team have taken part in a training session on the pitch they will be signing autographs and having pictures taken with supporters on the Fieldturf.

 More than 2000 fans attended last season's Open Day and this year promises to be even better with a day packed with activities.

The Club will be opening the doors to the home of the Blues between 10am and 3pm, with Paul Jewell putting his first-team squad through a training session in front of the Blue Army as part of the day.

10.00am - Gates open and activities commence with Escape Reality on the

10.15am -12.00pm - Training session on the main pitch  
12.00pm - Football freestyle performance from Armani Schaar 
12.10pm - Junior Blues prize-winners coaching session with two Town coaches  
12.10pm - Uptown Girls perform
12.30pm - Players to sign autographs 
12.30pm - Escape Reality perform 
12.45pm - Football freestyle demonstration 
1.00pm - Soccer skills with ITCT 
1.00pm & 1.15pm - Stadium tours - pre -booking is necesssary for these, so please call the ticket office on 0844 80 11 555 
1.20pm - Cameras at the ready for the mascot race 
1.40pm - Escape Reality perform  
1.50pm - Football freestyle demonstration  
2.00pm - Soccer skills with ITCT
