Defender pleased with Blues performance as Town end 2012 on a winning note thanks to his opening strike
Aaron Cresswell was delighted with the work-rate shown by Town in the win over Wolves this afternoon, with Blues ending 2012 on a positive note with a 2-0 victory at Molineux.
The left-back opened the scoring for Mick McCarthy’s side with a cool right-footed finish, before DJ Campbell wrapped up the win midway through the second-half.
“I thought we were the better team over the 90 minutes and we worked hard, never letting them have a minute on the ball,” Aaron told the Club website.
“We took our chances when we had them and the goals killed off the game. It was unlucky for Chops (Michael Chopra) not to make it 3-0 at the end there too.
“It’s not often I’ll score with my right-foot but it found the target and that’s all that matters!
“But at the end of the day it doesn’t matter who scores as it’s a team game and our performance today certainly merited the three points.”
