Boss says keep feet on floor though after victory over in-form Lions

Mick McCarthy was delighted with the result and said he felt Town were well worth the three points.

Two goals from DJ Campbell and another from Daryl Murphy gave Blues a 3-0 win against Millwall, who were unbeaten in 13 games before today’s game.

“We are delighted with the result, especially against a team that is full of confidence after the run they are on,” the Town boss told the Club website.

“I thought 13 might be unlucky for someone and fortunately it turned out to be them!

“We started well and Murph got behind Shittu a few times and over the first half hour it was end to end. Hendo made some big saves for us but I think over the 90 minutes we deserved the three points.

“It was great to see the fans celebrating at the end. I love the fact that they are happy but I want them to keep their feet on the ground. There is a lot of football to be played yet and this league can change in a blink of an eye.”
