Teenager tells the Club website why he's ready for more first-team action and holds special praise for his 'tutor' Bradley Orr
Elliott Hewitt believes he has the perfect mentor at Town, in the shape of Blues loanee Bradley Orr.
The teenager, who arrived at Portman Road in the summer from Macclesfield, has had to wait patiently for a taste of first-team action but made his debut for Blues in the recent win over Millwall.
Now Elliott is ready for more match action and wants to continue to learn from the experienced right-back whilst he's still at the Club.
“Bradley has been great and he’s been speaking to me a lot in training,” said Elliott in an exclusive interview with the Club website.
“He’s played at the highest level and is a very experienced player, so I know I can learn a lot from him.
“He’s got the shirt and has been playing well for the side but it’s been great for me in the last two games, coming on as a substitute for him and getting a taste of the action.
“It was a great feeling to make my debut after such a long wait and I was really happy to get such a good reception from the fans.
“Because I hadn't played for the Club, I wasn't sure what reaction I would get but it was great to get cheered when my name got called out. I couldn’t help but smile as I ran onto the pitch if I’m honest!”
