POSITIVE SIGNS

22 December 2012

Goalscorer Tommy admits Blues weren't at their best but is happy to maintain the unbeaten home record under Mick

Tommy Smith admitted that the draw with Bristol City at Portman Road this afternoon was a fair result.

The Town defender scored a superb acrobatic goal to cancel out Neil Danns’ opener for the visitors, as Blues claimed a share of the spoils against the Robins.

“We know we didn’t play to our full potential but the pleasing thing is that we still took something from the game,” the New Zealand international told the Club website.

“I think a few weeks ago if we had been in this situation then we may have gone on and lost the game, so it’s positive to see that we are improving as a group.

“On reflection a draw is probably a fair result today and to take a point having been behind is certainly a positive.”
