U18s in FA Youth Cup action this evening against Bristol City at Ashton Gate

Russell Osman believes his players should enjoy playing in the FA Youth Cup tonight, as Town’s youngsters prepare to take on Bristol City at Ashton Gate (kick-off 7pm).

The young Blues will be aiming to get past the Robins and land a home tie in the next round, although Russell knows it will be a tough test this evening.

“It’s a game we’re looking forward to very much and the lads should enjoy playing in the FA Youth Cup,” Russell told the Club website.

“It’s a prestigious competition and the game against Bristol will be a good challenge for the players.

“We’ve had quite a few of their games watched recently and we’ve already played them this season.

“We’re under no illusion that it’s going to be a difficult game but it’s one we are all relishing, especially the players as it’s a great experience for them.

“The majority of the squad are fit and available for selection, which is pleasing and we’re all very much looking forward to the game.”
