Superb Tom Winter strike enough for young Blues to go past Bristol City and into the next round of the Cup

Town's U18s beat Bristol City 1-0 at Ashton Gate to progress through to the next round of the FA Youth Cup.
A strike from winger Tom Winter fired Blues into the lead after 28 minutes, with his effort looping over Robins 'keeper Dylan Castenheira and into the back of the net.

Both sides were giving their all in what had turned into a traditional cup tie, with plenty of challenges flying as each team tried to take a foothold of the game.

Town did have chances to extend the lead but the hosts kept Blues out, whilst having chances of their own at the other end. Omar Sowunmi in particular doing well to prevent Wes Burns breaking through the Town defence with just a few minutes remaining.

Special praise was also reserved for Matt Clarke, who put in an assured performance in a solid team display.

Despite late pressure from the hosts, Russell Osman's young Blues held firm and left the South West with a superb victory.
