Striker reaping rewards of American Adventure

Michael Chopra admits he's feeling good ahead of the new season, following his 'American adventure'.

The striker spent time at a fitness camp in California during the summer and has looked sharp in Town's opening two games of pre-season, scoring the equaliser against Helmond Sport in the week.

"I feel good in myself and the trip to America has been beneficial for me," Chops told the Club website.

"It was an amazing experience and I really noticed the difference in my fitness when I came back, to say last season.

"I was doing a lot of hiking with Lidds (Andy Liddell, fitness coach) and I lost a lot of weight from that. I feel in good shape and hopefully people will see that over pre-season and beyond.

"But the hard work doesn't stop there, I need to maintain my fitness and keep working towards the first game of the season and making sure me and the lads are ready to hit the ground running."
