Midfielder delighted to net first Town goal as Blues move out of bottom three with impressive win over Forest

Luke Hyam described scoring his first Town goal as an ‘incredible feeling’, as Town beat Nottingham Forest 3-1 at Portman Road to climb out of the relegation zone.

The midfielder was named man-of-the-match after netting Town’s second goal, following up DJ Campbell’s saved penalty to fire home, with Guirane N’Daw and Daryl Murphy also on target for Blues.

“It was an incredible feeling for me (to score a first Town goal) and as you can see from my celebrations I lost my head a little bit!” an ecstatic Luke told the Club website.

“It was a great feeling personally and also really enjoyable to celebrate with the lads at getting the three points, which is the most important thing.

“All the boys worked extremely hard and I think our performance deserved the win tonight.

“It was nice to get a start and hopefully I have shown the manager what I can do. I want to play games and it’s important to take my chance when I get it.”
