Midfielder returns to Spurs after clubs agree to cut short Australian's loan spell
Massimo Luongo has returned to Tottenham after both clubs agreed to cut short his loan spell at Portman Road, subject to the paperwork being completed.
The midfielder, who has been capped by Australia U20s, made 11 appearances in all competitions for Town after being brought to the Club by previous boss Paul Jewell.
More recently the midfielder has found himself out of the first-team picture has turned out for Town’s U21 side.
Massimo scored one goal for Blues during his spell, netting against Carlisle in the Capital One Cup back in August.
"Massimo has gone back," Town boss Mick McCarthy told the Club website.
"He's a good footballer, but you'd expect that coming from Tottenham, but I need a different type of player.
"He's not been playing games and Tottenham said that if he's not playing football here, then they will take him back. We wish Mass well."
