Town stopper involved in promotional video for the Kids Cup in partnership with npower

He may have only been at Town a short while himself, but Scott Loach is already getting himself in the heart of the Ipswich community!

The Town stopper took to the streets of Ipswich recently to take part in a promotional video for the ‘Kids Cup’, in partnership with npower.

Scott had a kick-about with a number of local children, including one young ‘keeper who was decked out in Scott’s full Town kit!

He wasn’t alone, as Birmingham’s Curtis Davies and Bolton’s Kevin Davies were also involved in the video in their respective communities.

The players went searching for new talent in schools, local parks and even back gardens to launch this season’s npower Football League Kids Cup. With over 5,000 participants last year, the national schools Under 11 football tournament has gone from strength to strength and sees the final played at Wembley Stadium before the npower Play-Off finals.

In the npower Football League Kids Cup, schools compete locally for the right to represent their local Football League club, before going on to compete against other schools on their road to Wembley.

As the video suggests, we could be in for an even higher influx of talented youngsters in this year’s competition as all the pros were given the run around by their young protégés.
