SKIPPER ISSUES RALLYING CALL

22 November 2012

Carlos out to make home advantage count and put smile back on fans' faces

Carlos Edwards has welcomed two home games in four days and the chance to wipe out the memory of last week’s heavy defeat at Leicester.

Blues face Peterborough on Saturday before hosting Nottingham Forest on Tuesday and the Town skipper wants the team to give the Blue Army plenty to celebrate in those games.

“It’s important we make amends for last Saturday’s defeat. It was unacceptable to lose in that manner and it’s a feeling that I and the rest of the guys don’t want to ever experience again,” says Carlos, speaking in his column in Saturday’s matchday programme.

“To lose any game as a professional is hard to take, but to concede six goals is even worse. It wasn’t just a loss but a setback too. Now we need to bounce back from that result as soon as possible, starting with Peterborough.

“The bright side of things is that we have two home games coming up in quick succession and it gives us the opportunity to put things right and not dwell on the disappointment of the weekend.

“It’s important that we give the fans something to smile about too because their support has been fantastic.”

Kick-off at Portman Road is 3.00pm against Peterborough with tickets available via the Ticket Office and Club website.
