Chopra and Carson denied as Town beaten by single Swans strike
Town fielded a strong U21 side including Michael Chopra, Nathan Ellington, Josh Carson and Luke Hyam but went down to a young Swansea side at Playford Road this morning.
The only goal of the game came midway through the first-half with Kurtis March scoring from inside the area after his initial effort had been blocked.
Swansea had their first goalscoring opportunity shortly after with Josh Sheehan hitting the left and right post with a shot from inside the box and James Loveridge following up, again hit the woodwork.
Carson created a half chance with whipped free-kick from the right going across the front of goal with no one in a blue shirt able to meet it.
The nearest Blues came to an equaliser was when Chopra took down a cross from Nathan Ellington but his effort was saved at the near post by 'keeper Oliver Davies.
