The Southend loanee is relishing his Portman Road stay and is hoping his versatility will land him a starting berth

Bilel Mohsni is hoping his versatility can help secure him a place in Paul Jewell’s starting line-up.

The Frenchman, who can play in defence, midfield or in attack, joined Town on a three-month’s loan from Southend last week and made his debut as a late substitute during the home defeat to Cardiff last time out.

But Bilel stresses that he doesn’t have a favoured position and is happy to help out wherever the Town boss needs him to.

“People know that I can play in quite a few different positions on the pitch but I wouldn’t say that I have a favourite position,” the Frenchman told Ipswich Player in an exclusive interview.

“For now I just want to work my way into the starting XI, so wherever the gaffer needs me I will play there and try to do my best for him and Ipswich Town.

“Of course I was on trial here before, so I know all the players really well now.

“Everyone seems very nice and have all made me feel welcome, so I am happy and looking forward to playing for Ipswich.

“It was a shame that we couldn’t beat Cardiff the other week because I thought we played well. If you think that Cardiff are top of the league and they’ve only beaten us because of our two little mistakes, then it shows that we can move up the league.

“All the boys are looking forward to the next game and forgetting about the Cardiff match and I’m sure we will be fine.”
