We keep making same mistakes says Paul

Paul Jewell said Town are paying the price for making the same mistakes after watching his side throw away a lead for the fifth game in succession.

DJ Campbell’s strike was cancelled out by Theo Robinson’s equaliser before Nathan Tyson won the match in the last minute.

“We started brightly enough and were the better team in the first-half but we conceded another bad goal just before half-time,” the Town boss told the Club website.

“One mistake led to another and you could see the confidence drain out of the players.

“We didn’t really threaten in the second-half and then to concede right at the end again for the second game in succession was a real kick in the teeth.

“That’s 15 points we have let go now this season from winning positions but I can’t keep saying the same things.

“It’s really difficult to pick yourself up and go again but that’s what you have to do as a professional. There’s another game Saturday and everyone has to focus on that and getting the Club out of the run we are on.”

Asked about his own future as manager at Portman Road, Paul added: “I’m Ipswich Town manager at the moment and I will be in the morning. I’ll be at the training ground tomorrow and will speak to Marcus then, as I do after every game.”
