Town goalscorer believes results will come though

DJ Campbell felt Town’s performance merited more than it received, as Blues were beaten by Cardiff in front of the SKY cameras.

The Town loanee fired Blues in front with a debut goal at Portman Road, before Cardiff hit back to take all three points thanks to Heidar Helguson’s second-half brace.

“The boys are devastated in the dressing-room as we feel we deserved more than what we got today,” the Town debutant told the Club website.

“We played well and put in a lot of effort so it’s hard to take defeat, especially when we’ve conceded too soft goals like that.

“But I thought overall there were a lot of positives to take from the game and we’ve just to keep going, keep our heads up and if we keep playing like that then I’m sure the results will come.”
