Nathan on spot in U21s victory over QPR

A Nathan Ellington penalty gave Town’s U21s victory against QPR.

Blues had an early chance with Tom Winter hitting his shot into the side netting.

Arran Lee-Barrett was called into action in the sixth minute producing a good save to prevent Moe Shariff.

Byron Lawrence was next to have an effort at goal with his low driven shot being well saved low to Aaron Lennox's right.

Town continued to make chances at the end of the first-half and could have been ahead if Ellington could have got his header on target from a Lawrence cross. Minutes later Winter saw another shot saved by Lennox.

The only goal came after Josh Carson was taken down by Jamie Sandles-White. Ellington took the spot kick and calmly finished in the bottom left corner.
