Get the Adnams app and then vote for your Town man of the match from your smartphone

Town have joined forces with Adnams to launch a new Man of the Match app, giving fans the chance to choose their top player on matchday.

The app will be in use tonight, as Blues take on Derby at Portman Road this evening.

Fans can download the app free of charge and will also be able to access the latest team news as soon as it is published.

Voting for the ‘Adnams Man of the Match’ can take place any time up to the 75th minute and fans who vote will have the opportunity to win a signed framed photo of the player chosen as the outstanding Blue.

As well as the conventional way of downloading apps, fans can also use the special QR code which will be available around the ground on matchday.

Mike Rieder, Head of Conferencing and Catering at Ipswich Town, said: “I’m really pleased to be able to offer this to our fans.

“It shows that the partnership with Adnams is all about engaging with the fans not just about selling their great beers.

“The app is really easy to use and free so I hope the Town fans get behind it to support their favourite player for that match. I far as I am aware this hasn’t been done for any other football club, so it’s great to be first!”

Adnams’ Head of Marketing, Victoria Savory, added: “Apps are a great way to involve fans. When we signed the pouring rights agreement in 2009 our aim was to ensure that our partnership is more than simply having our beers in the bars at Portman Road.

“We have enjoyed working with the Club on a number of projects with the Adnams Man of the Match app being the latest example.”

The app is not available on Blackberry.
