That's the message from midfielder Richie Wellens following home defeat for Blues

Richie Wellens felt Town weren’t good enough in either box this afternoon, as Blues fell to a 3-0 home defeat to Sheffield Wednesday.

Chris Hutchings took the side following the departure of Paul Jewell in the week but the defeat leaves Town at the foot of the Championship table.

“Defensively as a team we weren’t good enough and you’re always facing an uphill battle when you concede after 50 seconds or whatever it was,” Richie told the Club website.

“I thought we showed a bit of character after that to be fair but once they scored the second goal it seemed to deflate us a little bit.

“We weren’t good enough in either box today and that is something that we have to change.

“It’s been a difficult week but that’s no excuse and we need to start showing the fans that we have the passion and we need to start moving up the table, and fast.”
