Chief Exec speaks exclusively to Ipswich Player following Paul Jewell's exit from Portman Road and reveals that Blues are drawing up a shortlist

Simon Clegg has told the Club website that Town have already identified some candidates to take over as the new manager at Portman Road.

Paul Jewell left the Club by mutual consent this morning and Blues’ chief executive is now overseeing the search for a replacement.

“The process has already started in identifying the various candidates that we feel can take this Club forward,” Simon told Ipswich Player.

“We are now moving it on to the next stage but there is no time frame with the process. It will take as long as it takes.

“The important thing for us is to make the right appointment. We need a manager that has the skills to firstly get us away from the bottom of the league and secondly, take Ipswich Town to where we all want it to be.”
