Lawrence and Timlin strikes not enough for young Blues

Six minutes later and Town had restored hope of a come back with Byron Lawrence beating the on rushing Colchester 'keeper to a cross with his head to put the ball in the goal. 
Minutes later though the two goal gap was restored with U's man Nnamdi Nwachuku running onto a long ball, cutting into the box and firing the ball across the goal into the left corner.
Town got themselves back in the game on the half hour mark after Jack Marriott's shot was saved by 'keeper Rosique Gines Guzman, with the ball falling into the path of Timlin who slid in to score.
The visitors doubled their lead when a misplaced pass into the path of Lapslie allowed him to run to the edge of the area and shoot into the bottom right corner.
The visitors were in front by the sixth minute, with Jack Curtis playing the ball to Tom Lapslie in the box who shot low on the turn and into the corner to score from six yards.
Mark Timlin and Byron Lawrence were both on the scoresheet but it wasn't enough for Town to claim a share of the spoils.
Town lost 3-2 against Colchester at the weekend, with all five goals coming in the first half.
